Police coverage was discussed during the February monthly Council meeting. Both Chartiers Township and Canonsburg Borough submitted proposals for 24/7 coverage of the borough. After further discussion the Council voted to have Canonsburg Borough Police Department cover the Borough. canonsburg Borough will also have to vote and agree before anything is finalized and coverage begins.

In the meantime, coverage will continue to be provided by Houston Police and the PA State Police.
