Lengthy discussion on hiring someone else for police services

Mayor Stubenbordt reported the Police Department is losing officers due to them taking full time positions elsewhere.

Community coverage with response time is key to what is needed and being looked for.

Discussion over the pros and cons of coverage by Chartiers Township and Canonsburg Borough.

With the Breweries and Sheetz coming increases the need for 24/7 coverge.

Comparisons were made for both departments including the number of officers, coverage areas, budget, costs, as well as other information.

It was determined that the Borough would received good coverage by either department.
